University of Florida’s doctoral program in Counselor Education is now recruiting qualified applicants for the 2014 Doctoral Cohort

The University of Florida’s doctoral program in Counselor Education is now recruiting qualified applicants for the 2014 Doctoral Cohort. Applications are due December 2, 2013. UF offers nationally competitivegraduate assistantships with benefits and in-state tuition, and a wide range of fellowships and scholarships to incoming doctoral students.

UF’s Counselor Education Ph.D. program is CACREP-accredited. Since 1998 when U.S. News & World Report began ranking counseling and counseling psychology programs housed in colleges of education, UF’s Counselor Education program has ranked among the top 10 programs nationally. The UF Counselor Education Program, its faculty, and students have received multiple local, state, and national honors for their professional contributions. Our full-time faculty members offer seasoned mentoring in research and teaching, and serve as active leaders in professional associations.

As a result, students are afforded exceptional opportunities for intensive involvement with the faculty in research, teaching, scholarly writing, supervision, and service. The Program faculty’s national expertise provides diverse areas of study beyond the CACREP core, including such areas as couple and family therapy, play therapy, family-school engagement, and providing live supervision in our state of the art counseling clinic. The UF Counselor Education program takes great pride in providing excellent clinical training and experience.

The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, Florida within easy driving distance to major metropolitan areas. Application Deadline for Fall 2014 is December 2, 2013On-campus interviews will be scheduled starting the evening of January 30 through late afternoon on January 31, 2014.
