ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING

Cincinnati Christian University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling to begin with the Spring 2014 semester. CCU has a robust Master of Arts in Counseling program offering a distinctive educational experience in an urban setting. CCU welcomes exceptional applicants who value the university’s mission and are committed to academic excellence.

Responsibilities:  The position will call for teaching graduate counseling courses, advising students, supervising clinical work, initiating research, and engaging in university and professional service.
Qualifications:  Faculty members at CCU are required by the institution’s charter to be members of the churches of Christ/Christian churches and to adhere to the university’s Statement of Faith for employment purposes. The qualified individual will have an earned doctorate in counselor education, or a closely related field, with preference given to those from a CACREP-accredited program; be licensed or license-eligible as an LPC or LPCC in Ohio; have an active or evidence of potential for an active research program. Preferred candidates will have experience with diverse populations, teaching in higher education, and strong knowledge of CACREP accreditation requirements. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
Salary:  Will be commensurate with educational level and experience.
Proposed Starting Date:  January 1, 2014, is the effective contract date and reporting date for a candidate hired for the Spring 2014 semester.
