Faculty Appointment, Department of Psychological Sciences
LaGrange College is seeking an experienced, highly qualified candidate to fill a tenure-track faculty appointment in the Psychological Sciences (rank negotiable). The ideal candidate will possess professional specialization in Counseling Education and Supervision, and the experience and expertise to contribute to the development and implementation of a master's degree program in Community Agency Counseling. The position includes teaching and supervision of practica and internships, along with the day-to-day administration of the inaugural Psychological Science Graduate program. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, a desire to communicate the empirical base of psychology to students, and an appreciation of the mission of small liberal arts institutions.
The candidate must possess an earned Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. Candidate should also hold an appropriate license to practice or be license-eligible in the state of Georgia. An ideal applicant would have a minimum of 3 years experience in higher education and/or administration of graduate programs.
Located one hour south of Atlanta, LaGrange is a four-year liberal arts and sciences college offering 54 academic, pre-professional and professional programs. Home to 1,000 students and affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the College is ranked in the top 10 and as one of three "up- and- coming" schools among Southern comprehensive colleges by U.S. News and World Report.
