Program in Counselor Education
Position: Assistant Professor of Counselor Education, Rehabilitation Counseling (Tenure Track)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field or Counselor
- Education with specialty preparation in rehabilitation counseling (degree by date of hire)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor certification, CRC
Preferred Qualifications:
- Broad-based experience serving varied populations of persons with disabilities
- A record of research productivity
- Experience providing high quality training of rehabilitation counselors using distance education technology (e.g., Blackboard)
- Experience teaching as a faculty member, graduate teaching assistant, or doctoral intern within a counselor education program
- Broad-based experience serving varied populations of persons with disabilities
Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate courses in both rehabilitation education and general counselor education curriculum
- Develop and pursue a sustained research agenda resulting in publications and external funding
- Participate in program initiatives, advising and faculty decisions
