Subject: Nominations for the FL Student Advisory Council (American Association of University Women)

We have established an American Association of University Women (AAUW) - State Student Advisory Council of which we are currently accepting nominations for student leaders in Florida.  I am happy to report that we had a very productive/dynamic group of young women serve on our very first Student Advisory Council.  Florida’s Student Advisory Council (FL SAC or SAC) serve as student Leaders to help promote the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and its programs on their campus and serve the organization/local branches in the state. I am sharing some of their highlights over the course of the past year.

Again, we are accepting nominations for the next Student Advisory Council. The term of office is for one year (July 1st – June 30th). In addition, we would like the incoming slate of Council members to represent other institutions not previously represented on the Council.  In other words, schools represented this past year were Nova Southeastern University, University of Central Florida, University of North Florida and Florida State University.  If you know of an ideal candidate - please contact me with their information or simply have them contact me directly. I am also including a brief list of Council responsibilities/qualifications and a presentation of the current council members. PLEASE help us to continue our efforts in engaging the women leaders of tomorrow.

Feel free to circulate this message to those who may be interested in this opportunity.

Thank you.
