“Dunk City” run to the Sweet 16!

Eagle Basketball Fans,

What an exciting time as all of FGCU basks in the unbelievable glow generated by Andy & the guys!   In turn, in addition to the tremendous transformational scenario that has been created for the University, is a potentially small window for FGCU Athletics to take advantage of the well-earned excitement about our Men’s Basketball program, which has followed many successes by all of our terrific teams. 

Essentially, many don’t realize how short we are in funding relative to even a number of our fellow A-Sun opponents (i.e., only four of our 15 teams have the NCAA maximum limit for scholarships, small recruiting and travel budgets and NONE of our teams are fully staffed).  Therefore, in a concentrated effort to best enable us to maintain our talented coaches and to continue to attract future Sherwood Browns, Sarah Hansens, and Chris Sales, we are reaching out to all for much needed additional support by making a donation in honor of the Men’s Basketball historical “Dunk City” run to the Sweet 16!
