This position with the Lee County Health Department's Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides basic social services and breastfeeding education to WIC participants in various locations throughout Lee. The persons in this position will have authorized "need to know" access to confidential WIC client records and the WIC database. Assignment of duty station, hours and days worked may vary based on agency/site needs, counselor is available after hours (until 9 p.m.). Counselor cannot distribute/clean/inventory breast pumps. Counselor cannot give medical advice. This position serves a large population of Spanish speaking clients and the incumbent must be bi-lingual.
