Immediate opening for a Vocational Evaluator

Vocational Concepts has an immediate opening for a Vocational Evaluator in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area. This is an independent contractor position and some travel is required. Qualified candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation or Mental Health Counseling. Licensed Mental Health Counselor and/or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor designation is preferred. Registered MHC interns will be considered. Interested candidates must have some knowledge of psychometric assessment, medical/psychosocial aspects of disability, and counseling theories. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Scheduling, correspondence, and caseload management

·         Medical and psychological file review

·         Interview customers to ascertain employment, educational, medical, and psychiatric history

·         Administer, score, and interpret achievement, intelligence, interest, and aptitude assessments

·         Conduct transferable skills analysis and labor market research

·         Effectively utilize counseling techniques to facilitate development of vocational goals

·         Perform situational assessments/work site evaluations in the community

·         Produce written reports synthesizing all gathered information

Candidates must have their own professional liability insurance. We are looking for a candidate who would like to develop a career in rehabilitation counseling and grow to be a leader in our company as we expand. Our Vocational Evaluators set their own schedule. This would be a great position for an individual in private practice looking to supplement their income. Pay is contingent upon experience.
