Florida Gulf Coast University is assessing the community's
interest in bachelor degree programs for residents who possess some college but
whose work, family, civic responsibilities or other circumstances make it
difficult to attend the FGCU campus to complete their degree during weekdays,
or who would like to be able to take some classes closer to their home. FGCU's
proposed new degree completion program—possibly launching as early as
Fall 2014 —would permit prospective students the ability to complete their
degree through a combination of online, evening and weekend courses at
convenient locations in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties.
Feedback from members of the Southwest Florida
community is important as FGCU considers the design of a degree-completion
program that would best suit residents' needs and lifestyle. Please feel
free to forward this email to friends, family, coworkers and acquaintances who
might have an interest in completing their degree at FGCU. We encourage
anyone with an interest in furthering their education to complete our brief, anonymous
survey by September 20, located here: Bachelor Degree-Completion
Survey, or by visiting the following web address: www.fgcu.edu/DegreeCompletionSurvey/.
