Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education (AACE) National Research and Assessment Conference

The Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education (AACE) National Research and Assessment Conference will be held on September 14-15, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida. The theme is, "Measuring Outcomes in Counselor Preparation and Practice." The keynote titled, "Research in counseling: What are we doing?" will be given by Dr. Rick Balkin, Editor-Elect of JCD. There will also be two plenary speakers. Dr. Harry Daniels will present, "Assessing Counselor Education Programs: Past, Present, and Future" and Dr. Andrew Daire will present on measuring counseling outcomes.

There will be over 70 presentations focused on topics that include: measuring student learning outcomes in counselor preparation programs to meet the CACREP (2009) Standards, measuring counseling outcomes in practice, quantitative and qualitative methodology, instrument development, teaching assessment and research courses, and many more.
