The Untreated Trauma of Sexual Assault: A Community Response
The trauma of sexual assault is a community issue that permeates our schools, agencies, and workplaces. Experts, through brief presentations and a panel discussion, simplify and explain the neuroscience of trauma and victimization and how trauma effects recovery, investigations and the community at large. Discussion will focus on developing a victim centered, trauma informed, community response to sexual assault to include law enforcement, universities and colleges, and rape crisis centers and other social service agencies.
