David Lawrence Center's 5th Annual Sound Minds Mental Health Symposium

You are invited to the David Lawrence Center's 5th Annual Sound Minds Mental Health Symposium. The Saturday, March 24, 2018 symposium will feature a screening of physician, parent and filmmaker Delaney Ruston, MD’s award-winning film,  Screenagers followed by an engaging, solution-centered discussion with the film’s Executive Producer, Lisa Tabb from 3pm to 5pm.

Screenagers probes the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts the messy struggles over social media, video games, internet addiction and academics. The symposium is designed to bring parents, grandparents, healthcare professionals, educators and kids together for a meaningful dialogue that leads to personal revelation and powerful positive change in homes, schools and communities. Screenagers reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

The Sound Minds Mental Health Symposium does require preregistration which can be completed on the DLS's website, www.dlcsoundminds.org. The event is free, with a $10 suggested donation.

We are offering CEUs to FL state licensed nurses and FL state licensed clinicians (LMHC, LCSW, and LMFT).
