Local Businesses Need Your Help to Prepare Students for ‘Back to School’



WHAT: Businesses in Lee County have partnered with The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools to send students back to school prepared. These companies are collecting basic school supplies internally and encouraging donations and support from their customers and employees by placing donation bins in their offices.

BB&T Oswald Trippe & Co., Fort Myers
Capt. Pete’s Diving Outfitters, Fort Myers
Cellular Solutions, Lehigh Acres
East Side Print - Fax - Ship, Lehigh Acres
Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands, locations in Fort Myers and Sanibel
Edison State College, Fort Myers
Fifth Third Bank, all locations in Lee County
Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers
Florida Title One, Lehigh Acres
GATES, Bonita Springs
Preferred Community Bank, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres

WHEN: Now through July 29th – After this date, donations may be brought directly to The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, located at 2266 Second Street, Fort Myers, FL  33901.

WHY:  Due to economic challenges, many families find it difficult to provide basic school supplies for their children. School Supply drives will help assure that all of our students have the tools necessary to succeed in the classroom.
Lee County public schools open on Thursday, August 8, 2013.
