Do you love to cook? Have any great rice dishes?

Do you love to cook? Have any great rice dishes?
If so, WE WANT YOU!

What: Entries for “Grains of Hope: An FGCU Rice Festival”

When: February 21, 2013

Where: FGCU Cohen Center Ballroom

The FGCU honors students are hosting “Grains of Hope: An FGCU Rice Festival” and they are looking for FGCU faculty, staff, departments, and offices who would like to cook an entry. We are also accepting entries from students, members of the local community (so your friends or family could enter) restaurants, and clubs.

Entrants are required to cook and serve one rice dish for the festival. From 11-2 PM, participants will be walking around tasting the rice from the various entrants. There will be prizes for many different categories, such as Best Spice-Trail Inspired Rice, Best Rice of the Islands, etc.

Our goal is to raise money to help street children in Bangladesh. We also want to expose our community to wonderful rice creations from around the world.

If you are interested in cooking a dish for this event or have questions, please contact Sean Kelly at skelly@fgcu.edu and he will forward you an application.
