Marine Corps Educators Workshop

Two of the Department of Counseling alumni Jaclyn Plucker (Class of 2011; on the left) and Morgan Taylor (Class of 2016; right) applied for and were accepted to attend the Marine Educators Workshop on Parris Island, SC.

The Educator Workshop Program was created so that high school administrators, counselors and educators could better inform students interested in a Marine Corps career path.

Morgan and Jaclyn wrote to tell us, "During this week we had the opportunity of a lifetime as we toured base, observed basic training, and participated in a number of drills and obstacle courses ourselves. We are seen in the photo attached, attending the graduation ceremony for new Marines. We highly recommend this experience for any High School Counselors! If interested, please encourage them to reach out to their local Marine Recruiter."
