Graduate Students: Volunteer for FSCA 2014 Convention

Volunteer

If you are a graduate student and interested in volunteering at FSCA's 2014 convention in Orlando, please read the important message below:

To whom it may concern:

Hello there! Our names are Hillery Duperly and Lauren Tandy, and we are two graduate students studying at the University of North Florida focusing on our masters in school counseling through the SOAR program. As you may have heard, the Florida School Counselor Association is holding their annual convention from Oct 23-25 in Orlando, Florida. We are the Volunteer Coordinators for this year's convention. This means we are in charge of recruiting, organizing, and training volunteers who will be used at the convention. The purpose of this letter is to involve as many graduate students as we can in this wonderful opportunity.
Volunteers are needed to assist with introducing speakers and distributing evaluations at the beginning of each breakout workshop, and to collect evaluations at the end of the workshop. There is a $25 incentive if you volunteer for a minimum of two breakout workshops. The $25 will be issued via check at the end of the convention. Volunteers can work at more than two sessions, but $25 is the maximum incentive per volunteer. You will be given the opportunity to choose the workshop you'd like to volunteer at; however, it is not guaranteed that the workshop you want to attend will be available for the volunteer opportunity.

If you are interested, please contact us at: FSCAvolunteers14@gmail.com. As mentioned earlier, there are two of us working on this project so if anyone has questions we should have a response in a very timely manner. We thank you in advance for taking the time to mention this to your students and hope that we have a positive turn out to help represent your institution.

Sincerely,
Hillery Duperly
Lauren Tandy
