Employee Assistance Consultant

The UW-Madison, Office of Human Resources, Employee Assistance Office is currently recruiting for an Employee Assistance Consultant. This position reports to the Director of the Employee Assistance Office (EAO). The EAO is a resource for faculty, and staff, their family members or significant other, to obtain help for personal, work-related, behavioral or health problems. Qualified applicants will have full-time counseling experience in an out-patient mental health, substance abuse or employee assistance setting. Preference will be given for experience in employee assistance, higher education and/or Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). Must have ability to provide counseling and consultation to a diverse adult population; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create, implement and carry out projects; independent problem-solving and analytical abilities; provide training and educational programs to diverse groups; ability to work effectively in a collaborative and collegial manner; strong organizational and consultation abilities, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Ability to understand workplace metrics is a plus.

Starting annual salary for this position is dependent on qualifications. This position is eligible for the State of Wisconsin benefits package.
