Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation; or Doctoral degree in Counseling or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation with documented full-time Counseling faculty experience. ABD from CACREP accredited doctoral programs will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2015. If successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.  

Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years teaching experience at the University in a graduate counseling program. Experience with CACREP accreditation. Experience teaching online/distance education courses. Expertise or certifications in one or more interest areas: Marriage and Family Counseling; working with Trauma/Crisis/Abuse/Addictions counseling. Evidence of scholarship in the field.  

General Summary Statement
Your initial assignment will include teaching, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable; course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; involvement on College and University committees and/or initiatives; as well as duties as assigned. Duties
Teaches courses and engages in clinical supervision at the graduate level(s); assignment will primarily be clinical mental health counseling with some courses in school counseling as appropriate. Teaches in distance formats or Hybrid formats will be expected as well as expectations of developing and pursuing a scholarship agenda; service activities to the Department, College, University, Community, and Profession; mentors students in practicum/internship experiences. Participates in program/curriculum development, admissions, and program review, accreditation and continuous improvement activities.

Review of materials begins on November 12, 2014. Anticipated start date is August 7, 2015. Appointment will be made on a 12-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2015.


Salary
Salary is competitive & commensurate with experience.
