School Counselor of the Year Recap
| |
Source: ASCA
The 2017 School Counselor of the Year festivities were exciting and memorable. Over the course of three days, honorees with their families and special guests participated in a career and technical education press briefing at the National Press Club, meetings with state officials, a magical evening at the Swiss Embassy including a dinner at the home of the Swiss Ambassador Martin Dahinden, an inspirational ceremony and reception hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama, Reach Higher and Better Make Room at the White House and a black-tie gala at the historic Union Station. The School Counselor of the Year ceremony shined a bright spotlight on the school counseling profession and helped us make a mark on a national stage. From The New York Times and NBC to Time Magazine and NPR, everyone was talking about school counselors. View and download photos from this spectacular event here.
