Director of Counseling (Wilmington, DE)

The Director of Counseling provides information and guidance to students, parents, and colleagues about career, college, personal and educational services available to students in grades Pre-K through 12.
  • Oversee Counseling program including policy, planning, development and budget of pre-k through grade 12
  • Experience in case and process supervision of counseling staff
  • Proficient in college counseling.  Work with students in grades nine through twelve and their parents regarding the entire college selection, application, and admission procedure
  • Provide individual counseling/group counseling including: goal-setting/decision-making, academic, college, and career planning, scheduling, transition planning, coping strategies, education in understanding of self
  • Proficient in personal, career and college counseling
  • Knowledge of tests and measurement
  • National Certified Counselor and/or state certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Secondary School Counselor and Department Chair
