Minimum Qualifications for VR Technician:  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral or rehabilitative science, education, or related field. Four years of professional experience in rehabilitation counseling with the physically, emotionally, or mentally disabled or visually impaired, job coaching, job placement or job development or in a Vocational Rehabilitation Program can substitute for the college degree.

Minimum Qualifications for VR Counselor:  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral or rehabilitative science or education, or related field, and one year of professional experience in counseling or in a public vocational rehabilitation program.  A master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, behavioral or rehabilitative science or education can substitute for the required experience.
