Professional Pet Care Certificate Course
with Mary Lynn Gagnon

Date: March 2 - April 17, 2015
Cost: $426
Format: This ONLINE 7-week course examines the field of animal related careers through education and internships. Explore a variety of resources to start or enhance your career working with animals, including but not limited to: pet-sitting, kennel work, daycare, training and working for a veterinarian. Includes:
    • Pet Care Course
    • Pet CPR & First Aid Course
    • Requires 54 hours of internship at an approved facility (internship placement organized by course instructor)
    • FGCU Certificate of Completion
Individuals who do not need or want the full certificate course can opt to take only the online Pet Care Course ($340), or just CPR and First Aid ($86), without the need to do an internship.

Pet CPR & First Aid Course

Cost: $86
Format: This course is for those who wish to acquire knowledge on how to respond in an emergency situation involving pets. It will provide experience in pet CPR virtually or face-to-face using our dog mannequin as well as basic First Aid. The Pet CPR & First Aid Course is a hybrid program. Students will be expected to complete The Pet CPR & First Aid Course online and be responsible for practicing CPR skills under an instructor's supervision to evaluate techniques and answer quizzes after each module.
