The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) is seeking a Program Coordinator. This person would work full-time in the FOSI Washington, DC office to help with our new Good Digital Parenting initiative. The role involves overseeing the many moving pieces needed to maintain and develop the initiative to help refocus, rename, and re-launch A Platform for Good as FOSI’s Good Digital Parenting initiative. This will involve working with our Program Administrator, sponsors, advisors, external bloggers, and web hosting services. The position involves:   Detail-oriented oversight of the day-to-day program planning and all necessary follow-ups. Coordinating internal and external efforts including overseeing the communications strategy, web teams and other consultants for the parenting initiative. Managing project calendars, tracking deliverables, and providing updates and reports on the initiative. Providing creative input to the initiative and helping with oversight of the rollout of a series of new enhancements. Administration of the project budget and financial reports. Leading the initiative staff and intern(s). Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience with program management, the ability to assign and follow-up on tasks, excellent attention to detail, be comfortable with written and oral presentations, and think strategically and creatively.  They would report to the Director of Legal and Policy. Preferred candidates will have experience running a program or initiative, some knowledge or experience with online safety or parenting issues, and some experience with the oversight of a website or app development. Candidates should have strong social media and web analytic skills. Preferred candidates will have experience working in a nonprofit organization with the ability to relate to the corporate and academic world.
