Applications Being Accepted for School Discipline Funding Opportunity

NASBE

The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) encourages state boards of education and state departments of education to apply for its funding opportunity, “Examining and Reforming State Disciplinary Policies from a State-Level Perspective.” This funding opportunity will create a partnership between NASBE and states working to improve school climate and discipline. This project aims to accelerate the adoption of state policies that limit the use of suspension, expulsion, and criminalization of students; promote policies that improve education outcomes; and encourage positive discipline and climate-building practices.

The application deadline is February 12, 2014.
