The University offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated and graduate degree programs on a picturesque campus overlooking the city.
Mount Mercy University is seeking a part time mental health counselor. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the counselor will provide limited, short-term mental health counseling to students; act as liaison between the University and community resources; serve as a resource for managing mental health emergencies and crises; deliver educational programs to students; and support the administrative functions of the Counseling Center.

Job Requirements

This position requires a Master’s degree in counseling and State of Iowa licensure. The successful candidate will be a skilled mental health care provider with demonstrated experience in crisis management; adept at collaborative program planning and execution; and demonstrated experience in program evaluation/ assessment skills. Experience in working on a college campus and familiarity with the mental health issues and trends of college students would be a plus.
