Virtual tours online database

Source: ‎Rebecca Chabrow‎

With all of my extra time at home, I have been working on developing a spreadsheet for high school students to access virtual tours online. This can be beneficial for seniors who are not getting a chance to visit colleges where they gain acceptance, and for juniors who will not be able to tour colleges before building their college lists. I wanted to share this resource with this group so you can share it with your students.
You can access it at https://tinyurl.com/u768vby.
This spreadsheet includes the following data (from The College Board) and links to give students and parents a virtual college visit experience:
-Name of School
-Number of undergraduate students (The College Board)
-State
-Distance to nearest major city (The College Board)
-Setting (The College Board)
-Residential or Commuter Campus (% of freshman living on campus) (The College Board)
-YouVisit - A website with virtual walking tours (similar to Google Street view) and a tour guide in the corner of the screen narrating what you see
-YouniversityTV - The largest producer of professional college video tours
-YouTube - The school's official channel
-CampusExplorer - A YouTube channel with videos about California schools
-Go Beyond the Brochure - A YouTube channel with videos that give you insider tips about colleges
-CampusReel - Campus and dorm video reviews and video walkthroughs from real students
-Unique Features (The College Board)
If your college is not included in this, but you have a virtual tour online, please send me a private message and I will see what I can do about adding it. If you know of any other great virtual tour sites that I can add, please let me know and I will see if I can add them as well.
Enjoy!
