9th Annual University of Central Florida Counseling Conference, held January 20-21, 2017,

Registration is open for the 9th Annual University of Central Florida Counseling Conference, held January 20-21, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The theme for this year’s conference is "Leaning into Loss: Developing Strategies for Hope and Thriving," featuring keynote speaker Dr. Jeremy Richman, neuroscientist and co-founder of the Avielle Foundation created in honor of his 6-year-old daughter who was killed in the Newtown, Connecticut shootings of 2012.

Since there will be focus on hope and thriving, some of our presentation topics are on psychodrama, laughter yoga, play therapy and neurofeedback. Also, this year we are honored to have the Florida Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (FAMCD) sponsor the last session of the conference, a panel comprised of mental health professionals, advocates, and a state representative who helped in the aftermath of the Pulse tragedy.

CEUS are also available.
