Healing the Man within by Randy Boyd

Thursday, October 6, 2016 | 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (PDT) An educational opportunity to explore the effects of childhood sexual abuse for men. Participants will learn the difficulties men experience due to the messages they receive in childhood regarding being strong, protective and not showing vulnerability. We will investigate the correlation of hurt and shame and the use of drugs and alcohol. Bio   Randy Boyd is a licensed California Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-1) with an associate's degree in psychology and drug and alcohol studies. He is also the founder of the Courageous Healers Foundation, a certified Life Coach - "Change Your Life Story Now" - and an associate of "It Happens to Boys." He speaks at conferences, schools and treatment facilities about the effects of abuse on men and how it is possible to heal from those effects. Randy is also the author of the new groundbreaking book addressing the emotional, physical, sexual, and spiritual abuse of boys entitled "Healing the Man Within - A Guide to Healing From the Pain of Sexual Abuse." List treatment modalities to help men process their feelings.
