The Coordinator, Substance Abuse Prevention is a member of Counseling and Psychological Services whose primary responsibility is providing education, abuse prevention, assessment, intervention, consultation, counseling, and referral services. This position is responsible for conducting individual and group therapy for students with substance abuse problems, mandated assessment for those students receiving judicial sanctions, consultations, and referrals. This position will also be responsible for health promotion, marketing, training, and prevention outreach to students and staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent field.
  • Two years of post-master’s experience as a mental health clinician or substance abuse counselor.
  • One year of experience with health promotion, training, and prevention related programming.
  • Ability to work on-call rotation.
