Job Description |
As the
Counseling, Clinical Assistant Professor you will
teach and supervise at the graduate level as
applicable; be involved in course and/or
curriculum development; assist in the development
and operation of campus counseling clinics, engage
in scholarship as appropriate to a clinical
position, participate on College and University
committees and/or initiatives.

Required Qualifications |
A doctorate in
Counseling or Counselor Education and Supervision
from an accredited institution or equivalent
accreditation; preferably from a CACREP accredited
program.
Licensed as a
Mental Health Counselor in Florida or its
equivalent.
Experience
teaching/supervising in a graduate counseling
program at the University level.
Understanding
of and commitment to issues related to diversity
ABD will be
considered if degree is conferred by January 2019.
If successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be
made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications |
Experience
with CACREP accreditation.
Minimum of five years experience developing, supervising and operating a counseling practice or not for profit counseling agency.
Specialty
license or certification in relationship and
family counseling.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
Experience or
commitment to the use of technology in distance
learning & university teaching. Interest in
collaborating both within and outside the
University in the development and delivery of
instruction resulting in improved student
learning. Must value continued scholarship and
service to the school and university.

Salary Range |
Essential Job Duties |
Teaches
specialized graduate didactic courses, as well as
supervise graduate level field experiences.
Fills course
assignments in areas of clinical supervision of
counseling interns and practicum students, as well
as in the Relationship and Family Counseling
course sequence, Introduction to Clinical Mental
Health Counseling and will serve as the founding
director/clinical supervisor of the Community
Counseling Center that is expected to open in Fall
2019.
Provides
service to the Department, College, and University
as well as to his/her professional discipline.
Teaches load
across the year of 2/2/1 plus half time work
dedicated to the development, operation and
supervision of the CCC and
its staff and interns.
