Study Invitation: How perceived support, work-life balance, and mentoring impact the experiences of graduate student parents

Good afternoon. My name is Tiffany Rogers, and I am a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of South Carolina. I am currently conducting a quantitative study on how perceived support, work-life balance, and mentoring impact the experiences of graduate student parents (Master's, EdS, and doctoral) in counselor education programs. I was wondering if you could forward the following survey information along to students in your counseling programs. Please let me know if any additional information for the study is needed.

Dear potential participants,

I am currently conducting a study in order to better understand how perceived support, perceived work-life balance, and mentoring impact the experiences of graduate student parents. To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be (a) currently enrolled as a graduate student in a counselor education program (Master’s, EdS, or doctoral); and (b) have at least one child who is younger than 18.

This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of South Carolina. All information collected is anonymous, as you will not be asked any identifying information, and the survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

If you are interested in participating in the study, click on the survey link below. If you have any questions, my contact information is provided at the end of this email.

Thank you,
