Free Webinar:Helping Your Immigrant Students and School Community: Updates on Deferred Action Programs for Undocumented Youth and Family

May 6, 2015
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time

The Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) is a national network of non-profits that provide legal services to immigrants. CLINIC invites you to join this FREE webinar on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for the Parents of U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA). These programs protect undocumented students and parents from deportation so that they can work legally and pursue their educational goals. This webinar is for educators, counselors, and others working in schools and adult education programs who want to learn more about immigration relief for undocumented students and their families. We will provide an overview of DACA and DAPA, including who may be eligible, and ways that educators can help community members access trusted information and locate appropriate legal assistance. Before summer vacation begins, learn how you can help change the lives of the undocumented students you teach and support!
Speakers: Ilissa Mira & Jennifer Riddle, CLINIC Training and Legal Support Attorneys
