Administrative Assistant Part-time: 15 – 20 hours a week

Job Summary:

This position reports to and assists the Executive Director in performing administrative tasks necessary for ensuring the achievement of annual fundraising and programmatic goals while  establishing and maintaining day-to-day operations. Skill requirements: current proficiency in  Microsoft Office Suite software, basic database/record keeping, excellent written, oral and  interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assists the Executive Director in a variety of administrative tasks:

Creates and maintains documents and basic spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Creates and updates donor records in GiftWorks database
Generates reports from GiftWorks database, Excel Spreadsheets, and Word documents Deposits checks and assists with basic financial activities Generates donor thank you letters Fulfills Guardian requests for Kids Being Kids Program Assists with fund raising activities Assists with marketing and social networking Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule
High School diploma required, post-secondary schooling preferred Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills Proficient using internet, navigating websites and using email Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel)
Understanding of database fundamentals and experience using database recordkeeping
software, such as GiftWorks Donor software
Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, Inc., (VFK) is a non-profit agency supporting Florida's 20th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties.
VFK provides the resources needed for the Guardian Program to recruit, train and retain volunteers who  advocate and become the “voice” for abused, neglected and abandoned children in court, school, the child welfare system and the community.
VFK also  funds and  runs the  Kids being  Kids Program which  provides a  warm,  cozy bed,  clothing,  happier birthdays, participation in sports, the arts and social clubs, summer camps, tutoring, medical needs, everything that helps them “fit in” and gives these children a sense of normalcy.
