We know that children and youth
have many of the same mental health challenges as adults, but the services,
funding, and understanding to provide needed assistance and support are often
lacking. In the US alone, research shows that between 15% - 20% of youth
between ages 12 – 17 experience mental health issues in a given year, and many
aren’t getting the help they need.
This full-day conference (see
attachment) begins with a keynote speaker, followed by 12 breakout sessions
(you choose 3 to attend), Vendor Exhibits, continental breakfast/box lunch, and
lots of networking throughout the day. Plan to join us for this, FGCU’s 3rd
Annual Children’s Mental Health Conference, and help create an alliance between
community stakeholders in Southwest Florida on behalf of our children's mental
health and well-being. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn,
network and make a difference for our children.
