❤ Make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
The FGCU School Counseling Graduate program is accepting
applications for the 2025 cohort:
The deadline for getting your application in is July
7th, 2025 (with all documentation due by July 21, 2025).
Quick Facts:
🦅 There are more school
counseling jobs available in SW Florida and throughout the U.S. than there
are professionals. Most of our students are hired before graduation, and all
are employed within three months of graduation.
🦅The FGCU College of
Education is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator
Preparation (CAEP). The school counseling program is approved by the Florida
Department of Education and nationally recognized by the American School
Counselor Association. Once you graduate, you’ll be ready to work!
🦅The program is
designed for adult learners with evening courses, allowing students to
maintain their day jobs. It is completed in two years, including a summer
semester.
🦅Balance your career
and education! Our program features evening courses, allowing you to earn
your degree while continuing to work. Except for internships, all courses are
taught virtually (in-person, synchronously over Zoom).
🦅 Graduates work in public, private, charter, and virtual schools that
serve PK-12 students and some work in post-secondary institutions including
career and technical centers, special training programs for youth, colleges,
and universities.
🦅More good news… The
admissions test requirement (GRE or MAT) is waived for applicants with a 3.0
or higher GPA in the last 60 credits of their bachelor's degree.
