Path2Freedom Weekend House Mentors Roles and Responsibilities

the needs of child survivors through their individual journeys from Rescue to
Restoration.

partners share a focused commitment to attaining our goals by working
collaboratively.

Integrity: We believe in doing all things with
excellence and uncompromising integrity.
Furthermore, it is extremely important for the Mentors to show a heart of unconditional love and an abundance of grace for residents that have not been taught how to manage their feelings and emotions.
Weekend House Mentors will:
· Cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect through words and behaviors
· Lead by example in modeling a healthy lifestyle in the body, soul, and spirit.
- · Provide direction
and encouragement to our residents.
- · Practice and teach
healthy boundaries to our residents.
- · Navigate
interpersonal conflict by modeling healthy resolution skills.
- · Provide support in
crisis help as necessary.
- · Maintain patience
and a teachable attitude.
- · 24 hours of online
human trafficking training
- · Passing of a complete
background check
- · CPR certification
- · Medication
administration training
- · Water safety
training
- · Maintaining
organization of the house (cleanliness & tidiness)
- · Converse/entertain/engage
girls while at home; staying busy is important. Crafts, games, and projects in
which to engage (e.g. game night)
- · Prepare healthy,
nutritional snacks and meals for/with the residents
- · Night check on the
residents
- · Daily reporting
- · Administer
medications
- · Two mentors are
required on duty at all times
- · A background in
childcare and/or medical care is preferred.
- · A desire to invest
and commit to meaningful relationship/mentorship with our residents and other
staff members.
