POSITION DESCRIPTION
Project HOPE Crisis Counselor Team Leader
PAY RANGE NON-EXEMPT
$15-17 / hour
General Description:
The role of the Crisis Counselor is to ensure integration of any service systems related to the Crisis Counseling Program. This position is used to establish collaborative associations that positively affect crisis counseling, disaster behavioral health and assessments; to coordinate data collection and promote the mission, vision and core values of _________.
Essential Functions:
1. Works with individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals when needed.
2. Is synonymous with the term 'outreach worker'.
3. Represents program in the community and networks with other agencies and partners to ensure needs of survivors are met.
4. Provides presentations to community groups on disaster reactions, coping skills, stress management and the CCP.
5. May use the mobile application to complete data forms.
Other Functions:
1. Other tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Energy, persistence and stamina sufficient for extended working hours and engaging in extensive travel.
Education:
High school diploma; Bachelors preferred. Consideration given to experience.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of social service experience preferred.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, constructively and supportively with staff, providers and community stakeholders while also maintaining high standards of excellence. Must show ability to work independently and be able to manage time efficiently. Must be able to use discretion and judgment to implement management policies when interacting with community members.
Other:
Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.

1. Reports to the CCP Team Leader.
2. Team player with providers, co-workers and office staff.
3. Accurate, complete and timely submission of required reports and proposals.
4. Adherence to policies and management practices.

Part Time Parent Educator
The Children’s Advocacy Center
has an opening for a Part Time Parent Educator.
This position will provide parent education groups in the community and
at the Children’s Advocacy Center. The
position will requires knowledge in the areas of child development, parent
education, attachment and bonding as well as facilitation of groups. The parent education is based on the
Nurturing Parenting Program. If you are
not previously trained in this curriculum you will be required to attend a 3
day mandatory training to become certified in Nurturing Parenting. Must be able to work some evening and weekend
hours, bilingual preferred. If you are

Spanish speaking licensed or licensed eligible therapist
A position is currently available
for a Spanish speaking licensed or licensed eligible therapist counseling
children, adolescents or families in an individual or group setting regarding
psychological or emotional problems as a result of physical, sexual, emotional
abuse and/or domestic violence. Therapist to provide a minimum of 25 direct
service hours per week to victims and victim's families impacted by sexual and
physical abuse and family violence.
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent
in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling. Upon hire the therapist
must be licensed or license eligible by the Florida Business and
Professional Regulations.
Therapist must speak Spanish. Two evenings per week are required.
